Jeff Glass finishes the game with 96.15 SVS% having saved 25 of 26 shots. Disciplined but open play from both teams brought about a highly entertaining game today, with Kovalchuk missing the net twice lined with the goal line, both times it cruised alongside the line and didn't cross it.
This was a great introduction to the series, and it calls for an entertaining series that can go either way if they play with high tempo like they did today.
SKA lead series 1:0.
Finally they open the scoring and at last beat Jeff Glass. ANDREI SIGARYOV drives over the left wing and upon reaching the circle drags the puck back and waits for the release until he found an empty gap above Glass' left shoulder and opens the scoring. The first goal in the series goes to SKA.
