The game is over, SKA win by a goal difference and take the lead in the series. The lone scorer today and thus bringing the game-winner was Andrei Sigaryov who will have pleasant memories of this game as it was his first KHL Playoffs goal.

Jeff Glass finishes the game with 96.15 SVS% having saved 25 of 26 shots. Disciplined but open play from both teams brought about a highly entertaining game today, with Kovalchuk missing the net twice lined with the goal line, both times it cruised alongside the line and didn't cross it.

This was a great introduction to the series, and it calls for an entertaining series that can go either way if they play with high tempo like they did today.

    SKA lead series 1:0.

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:49
Chudinov caught up the puck in his zone behind the net, and cleared it away hard, and it will likely end the game.

    59:37
One last chance for CSKA in this game as they go on the powerplay. Ilya Kablukov (SKA) rides the box for delaying the game.

    59:38
Timeout called by John Torchetti and CSKA.

    59:38
    Icing SKA as they clear.

    59:16
Zaitsev fires from the right edge of the slot after a centering feed, blocked and cleared away.

    58:50
Jeff Glass gets pulled to the bench.

    58:00
Two minutes to go in the third.

    57:56
A great pass into the zone for Ilya Kovalchuk who comes in from the left and tries to deke Glass in the slot firing to the other corner, and sees the shot wide after shooting lined with the goal line. The puck cruised alongside the goal line and missed it.

    57:37
They did win it, but couldn't hold onto it in the zone as SKA clear.

    57:22
Icing SKA as they clear and CSKA will come close into the zone if they can pull off a faceoff win.

    56:48
With 3 minutes to go, CSKA build on the attack from behind their own net, and don't want to comit any unnecessary mistakes that could cost them.

    55:30
Nikita Zaitsev shoots from the right circle, Salak ricochets into the slot and CSKA could pick it up, though Salak can't be beaten from inside the slot.

    54:32
Alexander Salak saves the day now for SKA as Morozov feeds into the middle for Yegorshev who is oncoming from the right circle, he gets the shot from the near but Salak saves. CSKA coach calls for hooking, and there definitely was some, it's peculiar they didn't call it.

    53:59
CSKA get into the zone on the left, drop the pass at the blue and then fire wide to the right.

    53:07
SKA dumped the puck in and won the battle at the boards, but the referee gets them back to neutral zone for an alleged hand pass.

    52:36
Tony Martensson shoots from the right boards, the puck flies low and is an easy job for Jeff Glass.
