    In power play Chris Lee made everything clear with the 5-3 early in the third period which should turn out to be the final score! Admiral never were able to be a threat again for the Metallurg win in the last 20 minutes and barely created more than a couple of harmless shots on target.

    Metallurg now lead 2-0 in the best-of-seven series before the next two games are played in Vladivostok.

    In a high-calibre middle period with many scoring opportunities on each side, Admiral early earned the equalizer but with two goals within 11 seconds the home side managed to run away with a 3-1 lead. Later Admiral twice answered a goal by Metallurg for a 4-3 Metallurg lead after 40 minutes. What a great period, one of the most entertaining in this year's KHL playoffs so far!

    Metallurg Magnitogorsk, favourites to advance in this series as Eastern Conference winners in the regular season, had a lot of trouble with highly aggressive newcomers Admiral who finnished 8th in the East but beat them 3-1 on Saturday.

    After an early power play goal for Admiral – a cross-pass from the right circle was deflected into the net by a skate of a Metallurg defender – Magnitogorsk's top scoring line around Jan Kovar (2 goals), Danis Zaripov (1 goal) and Sergei Mozyakin (2 assists) earned the final score in favour of Metallurg already after 20 minutes. Later the team defended its two goal lead clever without risking too much.

    If Metallurg are able to get another important home win or if Admiral can tie the series, we'll find out today!
