It was expected that the Conference quarterfinal series between Donbass Donetsk (4th in the West) and Dinamo Riga (5th in the West) would be a close one but maybe not that it would be that close. After six games the series is tied 3-3 and we will see the end of the best-of-seven series this evening!

A big setback for Donbass came when KHL announced that they have to play game #7 tonight in Bratislava, Slovakia, due to the high political tensions between Ukraine and Russia about Crimea. This makes them lose their home advantage and they have to try their luck at a neutral venue.

Donbass had the series almost decided after 4 games but lost 1-2 in each of the following two matches. If they advance or if Dinamo can make the race to catch up perfect, we'll see soon!

    Series tied 3-3:
    Donbass – Dinamo 5:2 (07/03/2014)
    Donbass– Dinamo 3:1 (08/03/2014)
    Dinamo – Donbass 7:3 (10/03/2014)
    Dinamo – Donbass 1:4 (11/03/2014)
    Donbass – Dinamo 1:2 (13/03/2014)
    Dinamo – Donbass 2:1 (15/03/2014)
