Metallurg Magnitogorsk are the only team to advance with a sweep in their best-of-seven series to the Eastern Conference finals where they will face the winner of the series between Salavat Yulayev Ufa and Barys Astana.

Although Metallurg won all four games, it was a close series! Metallurg never won with more than a one-goal advantage and twice games went into overtime. In the end the 4-0 wins (3-2 OT, 3-2, 2-1 OT, 3-2) stand and give Metallurg a few more days of recreation before the next playoff round!

The Sibir fans can be proud of their team aswell who not only threw out Ak Bars Kazan in the first round but also gave Metallurg Magnitogorsk, the leaders of Eastern Conference in the regular season, a hard fight in every game!
