Russian team has one goal at this championship – to recover after Olympic games in Sochi, which didn't go as planned. Alexander Ovechkin, Russian superstar, is back once again to help his team, which is aiming for the highest positions. They will do so under new head coach Znaroks, who put himself under some pressure after taking over the national team after failure in Sochi.
Switzerland, on the other hand, proved last year that they are not just shy outsiders anymore. Powered by their silver accomplishment, they would want to succeed in their opening game against tough opponent. They will rely on team performance, as their rooster changes only a little over the years – 11 "silver boys" from last year should play today against Russia.
