The final buzzer has indeed now sounded, and in a real thriller Finland have kept their tournament hopes alive with a 4-3 victory over Kazakhstan! You won't see many better games than that! It was end to end stuff all the time, but the Finns just about deserve their win. Olli Palola, Jori Lehtera, Olli Jokinen and Jarkko Immonen all got on the scoreboard for them, while Kazakhstan replied with goals from Evgeniy Rymarev, Fyodor Polischuk and Konstantin Romanov. Thanks for following the game with us, and join me again soon today for Latvia against Belarus at the 2014 IIHF World Championships! (18:06:45)

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:54
Alexey Ivanov is again back on the bench as a mass scramble is erupting on the Finnish crease! What a finish to a rip roaring game!

    59:31
Goal for Team Kazakhstan! They aren't giving up! Really heavy pressure is put on the Finnish goal, Pekka Rinne makes two fantastic saves but he's powerless to prevent KONSTANTIN ROMANOV from sweeping home on the doorstep! Powerplay goal and it's 4-3! Assists- Talgat Zhailauov

    58:36
Kazakhstan are back to full strength and have just over a minute left to try and somehow save this game!

    58:19
Rymarev! Kevin Dallman picks Evgeniy Rymarev out waiting on the right of the slot, he spins sharply, shoots but it's only into the glove of Pekka Rinne!

    57:40
The penalties are building up as the game is drawing to its close, Olli Palola for hooking is now the guilty party. And again Kazakhstan have pulled their netminder for the extra attacker!

    56:36
Dmitriy Upper for hooking though has been called and Alexey Ivanov is rather promptly skating back to his net

    56:16
And Alexey Ivanov has already been pulled for the extra skater!

    56:16
A timeout has now been taken by the Kazakhs, they don't want to go down without a fight!

    56:09
Kazakhstan couldn't even get a shot in on net however and their opponents are back to full strength. And just before that Erik Haula shorthanded had a monstrous slapper beaten away by Alexey Ivanov from the left faceoff circle!

    54:09
Out of nothing though the Kazakhs have a great powerplay opportunity to try and put the pressure on, for tripping Juuso Hietanen has been punished

    53:39
The Finns drift offside with just over six minutes remaining

    52:24
Finland again cause real panic on their opponents' crease and the defenders only just get it clear! Kazakhstan seem to have run out of ideas

    50:40
Haula! Erik Haula twisting in and around the Kazakhs on the right shoots with pace looking for the far post but Alexey Ivanov's blocker punches it clear! Finland are completely bossing the game now!

    49:25
Just as Finland look to cool the tempo down a notch Miikka Salomaki down the left flank gets away from his marker, wrists in looking for the far post but the puck flies round and into the boards!

    47:15
Jormakka! Finland swing the puck from side to side completely confusing the Kazakh defence, and Pekka Jormakka on the left faceoff circle one times the puck into Alexey Ivanov's midriff! He could have done better there!

    45:27
The Finns down the right chuck the puck across the slot, and it looks to without any deflections collide into the far post! Both teams have now smacked the woodwork today!

    44:47
Just after Alexey Vasilchenko from the left faceoff circle fired into Pekka Rinne's chest both teams are back to full strength

    43:01
Semyonov! The Kazakhs have let yet another clear opening pass them by! Completely unmarked at the right hand post Maxim Semyonov looks for the near corner, but Pekka Rinne athletically getting across makes the save!
