Speaking after the game, Nottingham Panthers head coach said, "it was tough when they're fourth line is faster than our first line", but that his team will "keep their heads high".

Finally something to celebrate for the travelling Panthers fans, and there is warm applause from the home crowd too. It was only the Panthers second shot on goal during the period. CODY WILD brings the puck down the left wing and hammers a slapshot which is too hot to handle for Lassinantti, who gets a piece of the puck but it trickles over the line. Assisted by: Nathan Robinson
Lulea Hockey 9 – 1 Nottingham Panthers.
Wow. What a fantastic goal for Lulea as JOHAN FORSBERG gains the zone with speed, pulls a toe drag on Stephen Lee and beats Kowalski with a backhand. Assisted by: Niklas Fogstrom.
Lulea Hockey 9 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
Cruel for Kowalski, who made an incredible pad save in the build up to the goal, but on the second effort Lulea captain CHRIS ABBOTT bangs the puck home. It's a fantastic spin pass on the backhand to set up the goal by Lucas Wallmark. Unassisted.
Lulea Hockey 9 – 0 Nottingham Panthers.
Shots on goal in the second period (totals)
Lulea Hockey 16 (30)
Nottingham Panthers 7 (14).
Lulea will start the third period (which begins at 16:20 CET) with 1:49 of powerplay time.
This is really looking grim for Nottingham, as once again their defence goes to sleep. It's a fantastic stretch pass from Lucas Wallmark who finds DANIEL ZAAR on the breakaway, who goes in alone on Kowalski and beats the Panthers' goaltender on the backhand. Assisted by: Lucas Wallmark.
Lulea Hockey 7 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
It is simply too easy for Lulea, who not only have the skill, but the depth to run the Panthers ragged. It's a fantastic piece of skill initially by Dean Kukan who brought the puck up the ice, and it eventually reaches CAM ABBOTT who fires from the left wing circle and Kowalski is beaten glove side. Assisted by: Andeas Hjelm, Dean Kukan.
Lulea Hockey 6 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
It seems like Lulea are pushing to match their 10 goal total which they reached in Nottingham. Daniel Zaar tries to score on a tight angle, but the rebound trickles to PER LEDIN, and the Cramo Top Scorer makes no mistake in banging the rebound home. Assisted by: Daniel Zaar.
Lulea Hockey 5 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
It's getting bleak from the Panthers now. PETER CEHLARIK picks Cody Wild's pocket at the blueline, goes in alone on Craig Kowalski and lights the lamp. It's Cehlarik's second and Lulea's second goal in the space of a minute. Unassisted goal.
Lulea Hockey 4 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
Lulea make it 2 for 2 on the powerplay, as DANIEL WALLMARK turns from provider to scorer. Per Ledin passes the puck back to him from the goal line, and Wallmark wires a wristshot high over the shoulder of Kowalski.
Assisted by: Per Ledin.
Lulea Hockey 3 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
You have to say it was coming. Lulea take a 2-0 lead and it is looking bleak once again or the Nottingham Panthers. It's a powerplay goal by DANIEL ZAAR, who rifles a one timer from the left wing circle on the feed from Kristian Nakyva. Assisted by: Kristian Nakyva, Lucas Wallmark.
Lulea Hockey 2 – 0 Nottingham Panthers
It's another early goal against for Nottingham. Young Slovak forward STEPHEN DIXON sets up the play at the blueline, drop passing the puck to Peter Cehlarik, who enters the puck and Cehlarik beats Stephen Lee to the point and bats it home.
Assisted by: Peter Cehlarik.

These two teams clashed in Gameday 2 at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, and it was a bad day at the office for the Panthers as their Swedish opponents ran out 10-1 winners, Carl Fabricius topping the scorers with a hattrick.
The Panthers come into Gameday 4 still looking for their first points in their Champions Hockey League campaign, but in all likelihood, it appears that their chances of making the playoff rounds are gone, bar a miracle. On Friday the Panthers headed to Rauma, but were no match once again for Lukko, losing 6-2.
On the other hand, Luleå played host to the Hamburg Freezers and took a 6-0 victory, Daniel Larsson picked up a 26 shot shutout, whilst Chris Abbott and Lucas Wallmark both tallied three points. Luleå are sitting top of Group K after four wins out of four and a +18 goal difference.
The Cramo Top Scorers for both teams are currently:
Luleå: Per Ledin
Nottingham: Brandon Benedict
