A storical night at the rink here! At the beginning of the group the Capitals were the underdog, now winner of the group leading Zurich and Färjestad!
The score is definately to high, but what a game of character and effort by the home team.

In short statements after the game Tom Pokel, coach of the Vienna Capitals was happy for the team effort and the character, seeing a deserved win, with good powerplay. They were ready in the decisive moments. Especially with missing a key player like Benoit Gratton and losing Hugh Jessiman after ten minutes he saw a good reaction after the bad loss in the last sunday league game.
Jamie Fraser, author of a hattrick, admitted smilingly that the third goal was a deflection from Foucault.
Roman Wick and the Sportsmanager from Zurich didnt see the Lions underestimating Vienna and also defined the good powerplay of the Capitals a key factor for a acknowledged win for the Capitals. (22:46:28)
