On the other side, Djurgarden was the only team who has beaten Fribourg in this years CHL-campaign so far. On game day 1, DIF defeated Fribourg 5-4 in the overtime.

For Fribourg the return of Greg Mauldin was highly important as he is a player who can bring a lot of energy in his team. Soon we will see, if "Barracuda" can bite again in tonights game.

The two teams are on the ice for the warm-up.

In the line-ups no special surprises, Fribourg starts with Melvin Nyffeler in the net, who made a big game in his last CHL appearance in Berlin. Starting goalie for Djurgarden is Mantas Armalis.

The two captains Benjamin Plüss for the swiss team, Henrik Eriksson for DIF and Cramo Top Scorers are Greg Mauldin and Markus Ljungh.
Fribourg is getting ready for the "Group D Final".

It's a crucial game in this Group D and we can really talk about it as a "Group stage final". The home team needs one point to be sure of finishing at the top of the group, meanwhile Djurgarden will advance if they can take the three points in this game.
Both teams are struggling in their respective national leagues, but in the CHL they have played well – on Game Day 5 Fribourg beat Eisbären Berlin on their ice by a score of 2-0 and Djurgarden was able to record a shutout win, 8-0 over Czech champions PSG Zlin.

Important for Fribourg was the return of forward and Cramo Top Scorer Greg "Barracuda" Mauldin, who returned to the ice on Saturday and scored one goal in regulation and also had a goal in the penalty shootout, as Fribourg won against HC Ambri-Piotta. Now the team wants to continue its winning ways and prove that their form is getting better.

This CHL game is a chance for both teams to gain in confidence and maybe qualify for the next round.
