		There is the final buzzer, and Lukko Rauma have taken a giant step to the next round with a heavy 5-1 victory over TPS in Turku! They sat back fending off a lot of pressure, but they expertly picked their opponents off on the counterattack. Ilkka Mikkola, Aaron Gagnon, Henrik Forsberg, Jonne Virtanen and Ville Vahalathi all got on the scoreboard, whereas Tero Koskiranta replied for TPS. 	52:23	Just as it has been for the majority of today's duel TPS are seeing just about all of the puck, but not able to create any sort of clear opportunities. Lukko are playing very cleverly, sitting back and soaking up the pressure with reasonable ease.
	49:38	TPS did a pretty good job of killing both those penalties though and they're back at full strength. They really have to speed things up if they want to have any hope going into next week's second leg!
	48:12	Juho Tommila screaming down on to the right faceoff circle takes a slap on it, and Teemu Lassila makes an extremely awkward looking save to bat it over the bar and out of play!

	44:23	Lukko looked content to just earn a bit of time for themselves and their opponents are back at full strength. The clock is definitely on their side being 4-1 up and with their home leg yet to come!
	43:44	Ahtola! Finishing off cute build up play pulling to the left of the crease Jerry Ahtola looks to catch out the goalkeeper near post, but Teemu Lassila stretches to it with his blocker!
	42:23	We already have the first penalty of the third and it's against TPS, as their Otto Karvinen has been hit with a two minute minor for hooking.
	41:01	Tero Koskiranta takes a swing at the puck as it rolls to him pinned up against the left hand boards, and it travels well wide of the far post as Oskari Setanen watches on calmly.
	40:08	The third and vital period is go! Remember that in the case that TPS came back to tie it we will not have any overtime today, as the second leg will be held at Lukko Rauma's home ground. Every goal really does count in the playoffs!

		With 40 minutes behind us Lukko Rauma are in cruise control, and all they have to do now is hold their nerve with a three goal advantage. TPS are huffing and puffing, but are lacking a finishing touch when in the ascendancy.

	39:31	TPS are keeping Lukko at arms length for the most part, but the visitors are simply ruthless when given any opportunities. And as Oskari Setanen holds on to a thump from deep the second period is in its closing stages.

	36:12	Here's another penalty but this time it's finally against TPS, as their Ilkka Pikkarainen has been charged with kneeing. Lukko could do with striking again to feel even more at ease!
	35:23	Just how many chances does Radek Smolenak want! Taking up a trickling pass by the right hand post he wrists wanting to go upstairs, and it sears over the bar! The netminder would have had trouble stopping that one!
	34:27	Lukko Rauma's penalty kill is working very well now, and they have survived that particular scare as they have five players on the ice again.

	33:38	Smolenak! Radek Smolenak has not one but two fantastic opportunities when on the doorstep, but somehow Oskari Setanen denies him on both occasions! Such saves can be game changing moments!
	32:27	Lukko just cannot keep out of the penalty box today and here's another two minute minor being called against them, as defenceman Antti Jaatinen has been caught illegally holding.
	30:55	TPS Turku's Steven Seigo speeds into the attacking third, takes aim when quite far out and as a result the goaltender is able to field it solidly.
	30:11	Ryan Lasch for TPS beats all of his defencemen spinning on to the slot, but when hacking away for it Oskari Setanen manages to get his left pad out in time.
	28:10	Olavi Vauhkonen twists to the right, fires but the goalkeeper comfortably gets his body in the way of it. TPS are making life hard for themselves with being so open at the back, and they need to tighten up if they're to have any chance!
	25:52	Goal for Lukko! The visitors are looking deadly when attacking at times! Set up peeling to the high slot HENRIK FORSBERG wrists with real power, and it flies into the top right hand corner! Assisted by: Janne Niskala. 1-3
	24:49	Just as Harri Tikkanen springs out of the penalty box he finds himself all alone down the left flank, goes for a heavy attempt and near post Teemu Lassila does very well to glove it!
	24:13	Jakub Nakadal hanging back on the blue line slaps in with real force, but the brave Aaron Gagnon commits himself to block it at source!
	22:49	The referee has his hand in the air and surprise surprise, it's against against the visitors, as Harri Tikkanen has been penalised for tripping his opponent up.
	21:05	And Lukko Rauma are indeed back at full strength. They can't afford to get in any more penalty difficulties, having already conceded while in the minority.
	20:03	Off we go in the second stanza! And remember that TPS are still on the powerplay for a further 01:05!

		Lukko Rauma were by far the fastest starters, with being completely all over their opponents and striking twice. Late penalty trouble and TPS getting on the board has livened up things though, and it's all to play for.

	19:05	Lukko are seriously rattled now, and incredibly they've taken yet another penalty! Ville Vahalahti is now the guilty party for Lukko as TPS are with all the momentum!

	17:42	And that has all of sudden turned into a give on three TPS advantage! Lukko have now been called for having too many men on the ice, and it's a huge chance for the hosts to get back on level terms!
	17:14	Nevertheless out of virtually nothing they have earned the first powerplay of the day, as Lukko Rauma's Teemu Nurmi has been punished for slashing.
	16:56	TPS are attacking with some intent from time to time, however they are looking a bit unconfident in themselves, with constantly cheaply giving the puck away to their visitors.
	14:51	TPS are in truth at sea in their back line, and the goaltender has to be alert to kick out a fiery slapper from the left faceoff circle! He is looking rather shaky having conceded a very poor second marker!

	12:14	Aaron Gagnon wriggling free on the right faceoff escapes his opponent, wrists neatly and Teemu Lassila fends it off with his chest. Lukko are starting to put more and more pressure on now!
	10:31	Koivisto! It could and maybe should have been two already for Lukko! The TPS defence goes missing as a sliding feed slides through to the far post from the left, but Henrik Koivisto at point blank range fails to beat the netminder! He had the goal at his mercy!
	09:14	Ilka Pikkarainen for the hosts makes a sharp charge to the right flank, whips it across the face of goal but a teammate only just can't catch up with it.

	01:41	TPS goaltender Teemu Lassila takes up a dump into his crease from deep, and takes no chances holding on for an early faceoff draw. The hosts are the underdogs in this pairing, and could do with a handy advantage after today before the return fixture!

		Domestically Lukko are in fine form, currently in first place of the Liiga on 37 points, one ahead of nearest challengers Tappara Tampere. TPS aren't having such a good time of it, as they are languishing in ninth place with only 26 points. With this tie being a two legged affair, TPS will be wanting to keep themselves in with a shout after today.
		TPS were drawn in a tough looking group with Linkoping, HC Bolzano and HC Pardubice, and only just squeaked through, picking up 12 points finishing in second place. Lukko Rauma on the other hand went one better, and steamed through to take first place with 15 points finishing three above nearest challengers Lulea Hockey. The Hamburg Freezers and the Nottingham Panthers in the same group were simply outclassed, being blown out of that water.
		This promises to be a seriously interesting match up, especially giving that both are Finnish clubs, and know each other practically perfectly. You could maybe say that Lukko Rauma are slight favourites, but if I'm honest it is anyone's game.
