Skellefteå – Luleå 2:2 (end) | Frölunda – Kärpät 4:2 (end)
final
Frölunda Gothenburg
4:2 (1:1, 3:0, 0:1)
Kärpät Oulu
Tuesday 13.01.2015, 19:00 • Frölundaborg Isstadion • Champions League

Roger Rönnberg (Frölunda coach): "A bit disappointing that they could score that last goal and that we couldn't get another goal in power-play. Kärpät is a very good team and we are happy to be two goals up."
"I've seen many of Kärpät's home games and they play with more aggressive forechecking, more skating not standing still in the neutral zone. So it will be a more open game. The way we are used to." (23:26:28)

I'll head down to the locker rooms to get some post game quotes. I would like to thank you for following this live feed and I hope I'll be back in the final game. Have a good night!

    Best regards,
    Efraim Larsson

    59:12
Kärpät calls a timeout with 48 seconds left of the game.

    58:00
And in the middle of Kärpät's pressure, Frölunda manages to flip the coin to create a great attack in the end zone and kill some time.

    56:45
Great pressure from Kärpät late in this game. They are trying their best to cut the deficit here.

    53:24
Another great attack by Kärpät and they are not far away of scoring another goal. Frölunda creates a turnover and cools it down a bit.

    52:27
Kärpät are in the game again with that last goal and they're putting a great pressure on Frölunda's net now. 7.33 left to go of the game.

    51:30

MIKA PYÖRÄLÄ tries to pass the puck in front of the net, but it tips in by a Frölunda player and they're in the game again, Kärpät. Assisted by: Markus Nutivaara.

A great attack by Kärpät when Arto Laatikainen finds Mika Pyörälä on the far end, but Pyörälä can't capitalize the two scoring chances he gets.

    40:01
    Start of 3rd period.

Both teams are back on the ice and we are soon ready to start the third and last periode for the night.

We are back with the second period at 22.20.

It's a quite difficult period to analyze due to the long break in the middle of it, but after the break I think Frölunda managed to take control of the situation with a quick goal. Kärpät created themselves a way into the game and had a good pressure against the Frölunda net but a bit unespected Frölunda could capitalize on a rebound and score 4-1.

    Goals in the second period:
2-1 (8.27) Robin Figren (John Nyberg, Lars Johansson)
3-1 (12.53) Elias Fälth (Mikael Wikstrand, Andreas Johnson) PP1
4-1 (18.28) Anton Blidh (Mattias Janmark, Max Görtz)

    Shots: 11-8 (tot: 15-14)
    Pen.minutes: 16-6 (tot 18-6)
