Welcome everyone at start of Champions Hockey League 2015/2016! Exciting completion between best hockey clubs in Europe starts its second edition with high expectations. Let´s enjoy one of opening games – HC Kosice vs. Red Bull Munich!

HC Kosice is the most successful club in Slovakia. It won Slovak Championship for eight times and Czechoslovakian Championship for two times. It´s called Slovak Hockeytown, fans there love this sport and enjoy great games. It took also the last season´s title in Slovak Championship, won 4:2 in finals against Banska Bystrica.
Kosice´s roster consists of good mix between experienced and talented players. Hockey fans in Europe probably know the name of experienced defender Martin Strbak, who played also for Slovak national team. Forward Jiri Bicek won the Stanley Cup with New Jersey Devils in NHL, another forward Adam Lapsansky is just 25 years old and still has a good potential to improve.

Red Bull Munich is one of popular teams in Germany. It finished at 2nd place of regular season in German league last season, but finished in first round of play-off, when lost 0:4. It belongs to portfolio of Red Bull, who is sponsoring sport in Austria, Germany, supports also the F1 team Red Bull. Munich is one of the most ambitious clubs in Germany!
There are playing several great players. You probably know the left-winger Yannick Seidenberg, who attend also the WCH 2015 in Czech republic. Another forward Michael Wolf also played for national team in WCH 2015 and scored four goals! Munich has also good power in defense – Canadian forward Richie Regehr, who played also for Calgary in NHL or another Canadian Daryl Boyle. It isn´t typical German team. It´s team with significant sense of Canadian style of hockey, what makes it even more attractive in CHL competition!

Game will take a place in Steel Arena in Kosice, capacity is 8 347 spectators. There are still some tickets left, so let´s see, how the attendance will be. Game starts at 18:30 CET on 19th August, looking forward to meet you at on-line broadcast!

Welcome everyone at Steel Arena in Kosice! The game between HC Kosice and Red Bull Munich starts in 20 minutes, so let´s take small introduction. Players are currently finishing warm-up, Kosice are going to play in white jerseys, Munich in blue jerseys. Arena is slowly fulfilling, maybe thousand people are currently here, many of them are still in pubs for beer or food.

Fans are still arriving to stands of Steel Arena, maybe 3 000 visitors are already here. Everything is prepared for match, we are just waiting for both teams!

Both teams already on ice, so let´s enjoy the game! Once again – Kosice is going to play in blue jerseys, guests in blue jerseys.

First face-off went to Munich, there was first offense attempt, without any success, good job by Kosice´s defender Strbak.

Good action by Munich! Aucoin skated to the right circle and passed to the middle on Mauer, who was in good position, but waited too long for the shot and defender blocked him!

Home team for the first time in offense zone, without any shot against Aus den Birken, however, there was a breakaway for Munich, Eder didn´t manage to finish.

Possible brekaway on the other side, Lapsansky had good speed and skated to the offense zone, losted the puck in key moment.

Lot of tactic on both sides, we didn´t see any shot yet. Kosice in action, will they change it?

Another good attack by Kosice, Soltes skated to the left circle and tried the shot behind the defender, who blocked it outside the net.

There´s really good hockey now, Melichercik also with first save, he blocked the shot from the blue line.

Aus den Birken also had a lot to do on the other side, he saved the shot from the left board, teams are changing lines.

Now Munich shot the puck through all lines, Kosice needs to start from Melichercik.

Munich survived the penalty-killing, Jaffray at ice and both teams are playing in full strenght!

Kosice still dangerous in offensive, Cesik skated to the offense zone and sent a good wristshot, missed a net just by few centimeters!

Great hockey game in Kosice! Kosice is more active and won 3-2 on shots, we are waiting for first goal. However, both teams are fighting for each puck.

Now there´s a commercial break. Home team is little bit more active yet, but, guests are in lead. Goal can "open" the game, so let´s see, what both teams are going to perform!

Guests are in good performance after the opening goal, Sparre skated to he left circle and shot, Melichercik saved by blocker.

Action of Munich was continuing, there was a dangerous shot from left circle, Melichercik hold it in trapper.

Kosice´s third and fourth lines are really active, also Cesik now skated to the offense zone and sent slapshot, Aus den Birken saved by right pad.

Both teams were changing lines, so no bigger opportunity in these moments. Still the fast hockey, people are really enjoying the match!

Munich won the face-off and shot the puck through all lines, Kosice needs to start from Melichercik.

Finally the home team in offense zone, without any shot yet.

Good job by captain of Munich Wolf, he shot the puck outside of defense zone and took some important seconds for Munich.

Munich is now in full strenght, so there´s a power-play for German team!

Munich already set up in offense zone and Mauer tried it from difficult angle, it was dangerous for Melichercik and he needed to save by right pad!

Home team looks like surprised after the second goal, Phillip sent inaccurant pass and it´s icing and face-off in front of Melichercik.

Home team won the face-off and there was a blocked shot from the blue line, guests took the puck and shot through all lines.

Finally, Kosice back in offense zone and Macejko´s slapshot from the blue line, Aus den Birken saved by right pad.

Munich in full strenght, Kosice stayed in offense zone and held guests there, Strbak shot was blocked, like all other attempts of home team, so Aus den Birken still holds clean sheet.

Home team tries to make at least something with this result, there is still half of a game in front of us. However, Kosice didn´t find the solution, how to score against Aus den Birken tonight.

There was a nice action of home team, Jencik took puck to the offense zone and passed to the blue line on Macejko, who found Lapsansky. He finished from the good position just in front of goal crease, missed the net!

Fast hockey game continues, there was an action on the other side, Melichercik saved it by right pad.

Kosice didn´t succeed in offense action, lost the puck and there was a breakaway for Munich, Melichercik held the puck and Kastner finished in net instead of puck. Face-off is coming.

Home fans are not satisfied with the result, but they are still cheering to their players. However, four goals are much, but it´s hockey and everything can happen!

Pinizzotto was in good position between circles, but went to change lines, so just passed to the neutral zone, Munich is dominating now.

Another opportunity for Mauer, Munich won the face-off and Mauer was shoting from the right circle, Riecicky blocked by right pad!

Home team tries to answer on that four goals, Soltes skated behind the Munich´s net and tried to surprise Aus den Birken by fast finish, goalie saved under the right pad.

Now is home team excited and tries to score second goal in a row, this action wasn´t successful.

Fast hockey continues, this looked like 2 on 1 breakaway for Munich, Macejko stopped the action by great defense play.

Home team is making its best to score at least one more goal in this period, without success yet, Munich plays just great. Big challenge for Kosice to score three goals...

Pressure of Munich in the attacking zone, there was a great slapshot by Smaby, Riecicky with another great save, he is holding his team now!

Munich is holding Kosice in front of their net, there was inaccurant shot from blue line and Sparre tried to finish to the empty part of net, Riecicky with a great save!

Kosice is now playing in full strenght, survived difficult penalty-killing and now are hunting for second goal!

Superb match by Munich´s captain Wolf, he skated through whole rink and tried to pass through defender on right circle, made it and sent a pass, which was blocked.

Terrible mistake in Kosice´s defense zone, there was a pass to player, who went to change lines. Mauer took the puck in 2 on 1 breakaway, pass was blocked.

Game now mostly in neutral zone, Kosice is still trying to change the result, Munich is defending wel and doesn´t allow home team to create chances.

Nothing new, there´s a hockey on high tactical level and without big chances now. Munich is closer to first points with every moment!

Attack also on the other side, Sparre with a great move and passed through two defenders, was blocked in decisive moment.

Great tactical game by Red Bull Munich, German team plays really clever and is defending the neutral zone. Kosice is trying, but it´s not enough.

Now small pressure of home team, which held opponent in defense zone. Shots by Lapsansky and Bartos were blocked by defenders.

The situation is clear – home team needs to attack and scored the third goal as early as possible, Munich needs to defend the lead. Now puck in neutral zone.

There´s going to be a power-play for home team! Now they´re playing in 6, until someone of Munich won´t touch the puck.

Inaccurant pass and Kosice are outside of attacking zone, needs to start again. Still one minute of power-play left!

Kosice sent three attempts from the blue line, all of them were blocked or inaccurate. Munich now in full strenght!

Big fights for puck in offense zone of Kosice, finally Munich´s players succeeded and come out with it outside of their defense zone.

Now the game moved into the defense zone of Kosice. Will Kosice win the face-off and pull down Riecicky to play-power? Let´s see!
