    Champions Hockey League is coming to Nitra in the season 2015/2016. The hockey town from beneath Zobor hill surely deserves such hockey matches thanks to not only successful seasons in the last years but also thanks to supporters, who encourage Nitra in both bad and good seasons. Nitra is expecting two opponents in Champions Hockey League, AIK Skelleftea and Bili Tygri Liberec.

    Nitra Arena is welcoming one of the best Swedish teams of the last five seasons. Miroslav Kováčik, the director of HK Nitra said for hockeynitra.com that he dares to claim that Nitra has never hosted better team in its past.

    The most important information came to Nitra one week ago, when 43 years old forwarder Jozef Stümpel decided to continue in the Nitra´s jersey. HK Nitra is still waiting to claim a victory in extra league, but the team was near it in the season 2013/14 when the players took the second position and in the seasons 2005/06, 2012/13 and 2014/15 when the team achieved bronze medal.

    AIK SKelleftea belongs to the regular participants in the final match of home league and our opponent played to win the title five times in the last years. Skelleftea gained gold medal twice, in 2012/13 and 2013/14 and bronze medal three times. Furthermore, Nitra´s opponent won the regular season three times one season by one.

    As a matter of interest, AIK Skelleftea has two official mascots called Acka and Garvis. They were named according to two excellent players of AIK Skelleftea.

    The big hockey match begins in Nitra at 6:30 pm. You can watch it thanks to our online. Marek Slovák from HK Nitra said very aptly for hockeynitra.com: “We played all the last season for this match.”
