    The Swiss players have already met an opponent from the Czech Republic as they played HC Pardubice in the group stage. They won both games against them and they also beat Farjestad Karlstad once, which gave the team 10 points and 1st place at group E. Although Davos lost game 1 in the playoffs to IFK Helsinki, they improved, won the second one and reached the 1/8 Finals.

Further, they met Linkoping HC in the round of 32 and won both of the games. Thanks to their victories they qualified for the 1/8 Finals.
