    In the second leg of CHL eight-finals Kärpät Oulu will match up against Sparta Prague in Oulun Energia Areena. Despite the first period Kärpät lead, Sparta won the first leg in Prague 4-2 and are looking to start the second game with two goal advantage.

    Both the Kärpät head coach Lauri Marjamäki and forward Ivan Huml cursed the errors in defending – the part of the game that Kärpät has thrived most this season, especially in CHL. Sparta took advantage of these mistakes mercilessly and took home the first leg by two goals. Kärpät power play was undoubtedly worst that we've seen so far this season.

    Neither Marjamäki or Sparta head coach Josef Jandac didn't want to empasize the result of the first game too much. The final result will be settled in Oulu this Tuesday. Kärpät have history of coming back from two goal deficit in CHL. Kärpät rose to the occasion against Frölunda in the semi-final stage after trailing by two goals after the first leg. Eventually Frölunda advanced to the finals scoring the decisive goal in overtime.
