“We knew before hand that tonight’s game will be hard. TPS is hard-working and fast-skating team. Players are really skilled.“
What does it mean to your team to have chance to play in CHL?
“It has huge meaning. We are gaining a lot of experience and get a chance to play international games against teams across to Europe. And for me personally this is big thing too and I can learn from this a lot.”
Ari-Pekka Selin, head coach of TPS
“We were able to prepared for the game quite well. We got good video clips and information about tonight’s opponent. We knew to expect to play against very hard-working team. Young players like Taavitsainen and Berger played well tonight. I’m very pleased with my team.” (21:00:07)
"Microphones in the TV-stream are a good thing! Even though nothing earth-shaking has been heard in this game."
Great passes and TOPI TAAVITSAINEN has the free net to shoot the puck. TPS leads 4-1.
Assisted by: Otto Nieminen and Jonne Virtanen.
"Seems to be that the Norwegians' backbone is breaking."
Here we go!
ERIK THORELL scores a spin-a-rama goal from the near side of the net.
Assisted by Tomi Kallio and Eric Perrin.
TOMI KALLIO rushes up ice with the puck, makes a brilliant move to beat a defenceman and flips the puck from near the post over Jakaitis's shoulder.
Assisted by Eric Perrin. TPS leads 2-1.
"The combination of Otto Nieminen and Hunajata works."
OTTO NIEMINEN shoots a one-timer with hard slap shot on a delayed penalty to Lorenskog. Jakaitis had no change to save this one. TPS ties the game in the last minute.
Assisted by Elmeri Eronen and Jani Forström.
JOACIM SUNDELIUS was front of the goal and hits the puck in to the net. Power-play goal.
Assisted by Patrick Thoresen and Mats Trygg.
"First power break. Tallinder's elegance makes me happy, and the other Swede Thorell seems to be a handy and quick player."
"Now they play Pantera during the warm-ups! Can it be? I'm going to give a giant thumbs-up for the game already!"

“We are really hungry for success. We have trained last three weeks really well. We want play the active puck-control-game better and hopefully we are able to show that too. But firstly, we have to be ready to work on the ice and do things as a team. We want to play a good game and give everything on front of our great home audience.”, Selin said on the pre-game interview.
Selin thinks also that CHL will prove that quality of teams has risen throughout the Europe and that is the reason why CHL games are interesting and tight.
Opponent team Lørenskog IK played against Liberec on Sunday and they lost the tight match after overtime 4-3. Canadian forward Jason Krog will make his debut in his new team tonight.
