After 40 minutes, Frolunda leads 3-0. The Swedish side scored an early an a late goal in this second period. In between, the game was open and also Fribourg got some decent scoring chances. In fact, the bigghest difference between the two teams is again efficiency and this could also show a little the mentality which is totally different. While Fribourg is still on the last spot in the swiss league, more or less without chances to reach the playoffs, the Swedish side is leading their domestic league and shows why they are on a hot streak. The Winner of last years CHL trophy will for sure play also this years final!

    26:34
Even if the game is not over, the first finalist of this years CHL seems to be set, as Frolunda is playing with much confidence and it is hard to believe that Fribourg could find a way back in this game.

The first period is over and Frolunda leads 1-0 at BCF-Arena Fribourg was at least playing on the same level as the Swedish team, but they were unlucky with two shots on the crossbar and the post, while on the other side, Frolunda was able to score on their first real chance.

    20:00
    1st period finished.

    19:51
And things get even worse for Fribourg, as Sprunger gets called for tripping. Powerplay Frolunda.

    19:27
    Offside Fribourg

    19:00
One minute left in the first period

Its getting harder than it was from the start now for Fribourg, as they are behind 6-1 on aggregate.

    00:01
    Game started.

Fribourg has experienced themselves last weekend how fast you can loose a big advantage, as the dragons who were in front 3-0 against Davos after 15 minutes have lost in the end 5-3.

The players and the referees are lined up and the game is about to start. The situation before the game seems to be quite clear, but the swiss supporters still hope to whitness a "miracle on ice".

Tonights referees are Roman Gofman from Russia and Vladimir Pesina from Czech Republic assisted by the two linesmen from Switzerland Cedric Borga and Nicolas Fluri.

The CRAMO Topscorers are Roman Cervenka for the swiss hosts and Joel Lundqvist for the Swedish side.

Friborg is starting with Benjamin Conz in front of the net, while the starting goaltender for Frolunda is Johan Gustafsson.

    Starting lineups:

Fribourg-Gottéron: Conz (Saikkonen) – Stalder, Chavaillaz, Kienzle, Leeger, Rathgeb, Picard – Mauldin, Schmutz, Mottet – Fritsche, Rivera, Neuenschwander – Sprunger, Cervenka, Birner – Ritola, Chiquet, Neukom

Frölunda Gothenburg: Gustafsson (Bakala) – Donovan, Nyberg, Tommernes, Westerlund, Norstebo, Larsson, Carlsson, Dahlin – Hjalmarsson, Lundqvist, Wellman – Grundstrom, Sundstrom, Figren – Bergenheim, Ehn, Olofsson – Rosseli-Olsen, Lasu, Stalberg

"It is not over yet. The result in the first game did not reflect the game," warned Frolunda assistant coach Par Johansson. "Fribourg is an unpredictible team with many offensively skilled players, such as Roman Cervenka and Julien Sprunger. We expect them to come out hard, as they did in the first game of the CHL Semi-Finals."

Since last week's first game, Frolunda have played only one SHL game, losing to fellow CHL Semi-Finalists the Vaxjo Lakers by a 4-1 count. Meanwhile, Fribourg have lost both NLA games this past week and remain in last place, so they have no momentum going for them in any way, although may at least be motivated to exit a successful CHL campaign with a win in front of their home fans. Head coach Larry Huras knows what his side needs to do – and what not to do – against Frolunda tonight.

"We have to come out hard, skate with them all game, and not give them anything," commented the 61-year-old Ontario native. "Last week we had a great start and played pretty well, but we made two big mistakes. You can't give a team like this those sorts of opportunities."

    Welcome. Game starts at 20:15.
