		A magnificent victory for DEG. In the last period both teams scored one goal each. Linz started strong in the game with two goals. In the second period DEG came back with four goals and a strong performance in defense. Linz could not answer this impact by the home team. Linz tried hard in the last period to score again, but only one goal was allowed by the young DEG-goaltender Niederberger. DEG with their first homegame of the season, first CHL game, first victory on the european stage. (22:00:45)

		The Düsseldorfer-EG (DEG) are eager to meet the Black Wings Linz. For DEG 2014–15 season was one of the most remarkable in a long time. 2015 started with the Winter Game in front of over 51,000 spectators from all over Europe, in which DEG defeated their long-time rivals Kölner Haie 3–2. At the end of the season Düsseldorfer-EG reached to the DEL semi-finals to qualify for CHL for the first time. DEG counted on young players developed from their own youth program with only a few veterans. „You can tell the team knows that this is not just some game. We want to bring the best possible performance at this time on the ice. It is a big job not juat a pre-season game“, says the coach of DEG Christof Kreutzer. „We want to start with a win, which is important to us, but from past few years Linz was always top ranking in the its league.“ Black Wings Linz got a lot of NHL experience as they signed Brett McLean from HC Lugano. McLean played almost 400 NHL games in Chicago, Colorado and Florida. But unfortunately Linz lost their first CHL game last Thursday in Turku 6-1. Linz is surely hungry for their first CHL win in Düsseldorf. „We want to progress every game, which we didn’t this time. That’s what we’ll do on Saturday in Düsseldorf“, said Linz’s head coach Rob Daum after the lose earlier this week.
