With this win SKA St. Petersburg were able to improve their record further to a 6-0-0-0 and the full count of 18 points. For Dinamo it was another setback and the third consecutive loss. The guests from Belarus remain at just four points after now 6 matches.

Despite several good scoring opportunities on both sides the guests were never able to bring the SKA win into danger in the third period. Instead Evgeny Ketov used a late power play to make it even 5-1 for SKA!
