As expected the Americans made a huge step towards the quarterfinals. In fact they can reach it if Canada gains at least one point in the 16.00 CET match against Finland.
For Switzerland the last group match on Wednesday against Finland will be very important. They need to show a far better perfomance there or they will also get into trouble against any team of group B in the quarterfinals!
Shots on goal: USA 20 (53) – Switzerland 2 (10)
A brilliant long pass from within the own third by Josephine Pucci found ALEX CARPENTER at the Swiss blue line and the forward then used the following break away to deke out Florence Schelling tot he left and score the 9-0!!!
Assisted by Josephine Pucci.
