As expected, Sweden win their last group match and position themseves on top of Group A for now – Canada faces Norway tomorrow morning. For Italy the miracle was never really close despite them scoring the equalizer during the first period. They have to fight for the return to the top division next year in division 1A.

    Goal for Team Sweden!

Italian goalie Bellissimo struggled to find the puck after a one-timer went through his pads. JIMMIE ERICSSON was the first to react and get the puck over the goal line in the battle for it with a defender. Power play goal number 4 for Sweden in just one game!

Assisted by Magnus Nygren and Oscar Möller.

    55:37
Trevor Johnson (taly) gets two minutes for tripping. So far 3 of the 4 Swedish goals came in the power play this evening.

    55:33
Big glove save by Bellissimo against a well-placed wrist shot from the left circle.

    55:25
The third period shots are 10 to 0 in favour of Sweden but they failed to increase the score yet.

    53:14
Dick Axelsson gets a perfect assist waiting in front of the goalie crease but fails to use the big opportunity.

    52:39
It looks like the Swedes want to show the fans in the arena something for the final minutes and they are shooting from all possible angles.

    51:56
Tim Erixon twice with powerful shots from the left wing at height of the blue line but first the puck went wide past the right bottom corner and then Bellissimo made a stop.

    50:09
Linus Klasen, the four-assist man, with a scoring opportunity himself but from the left circle his try is stopped by Bellissimo.

    48:42
Beautiful solo by Mattias Sjogren who makes it past three opponents with several well-timed dekes but then he is stopped inside the Italian third and almost causes a counter attack...

    47:46
Nice combination over Nyquist – Klasen – Ekholm – Fransson but the powerful shot is stopped by Bellissimo.

Nice effort by Anton Bernard who is able to defend the puck against three players behind the Swedish net despite being pushed to the ground twice.

    45:42
Sweden are back at full strength.

    45:21
The Swedes just fire the puck deep into the Italian third during a clearing attempt. Something you don't see very often by the favourites from the North of Europe.

    45:13
A one-timer by Diego Kostner from the blue line misses the Swedish net.

    43:42
