Krefeld, seeded 4th after the first round, will try to chalk up the first points against the Finns, who had a hard time to subdue their Danish opponents in game one. The Krefeld fans are definitely optimistic and assure their darlings that they "will never walk alone". A handful of Finnish supporters will cheer their side. The Champions' hockey league hymn is played after everybody has been reminded by the music that usually precedes the European football champions league matches that ice hockey is trying to acquire its place in the European media.

After their 2-1 loss against Skelleftea, one of the European top-teams, the Penguins were a bit unhappy about how luckily the two Swedish goals had been scored. Though Helsinki is certainly of a similar, if not the same calibre the Penguins are hoping to do better this time, which should not be impossible, especially if they follow the conclusions that their captain and their coach drew when analysing the previous game. The attendance will probably be over 4000.
