Canada also can be happy taking three points in the game, but they have to be disappointed with their power play and the five penalties they took on the game. Norway's only score came with the extra man and if the penalties continue, Canada could be in trouble.

A dominant final 40 minutes for Canada, but little to show for it in the box score. This could spell trouble with Finland still to play in group play.

Though they lost, Norway has to be happy with the play of Haugen between the pipes. If they can continue to play as physical as they did in the first period, they could upset a team or two over the next few games.

Norway pulled within one goal, finishing a power play chance leftover from the previous period, but Canada would answer quickly with another of their own. Canada continued to dominate in the third, but has only goal to show for it.

Shots on goal were 38-20 in favor of Norway.

In the second period, Canada asserted their dominance defensively. It was more than 17 minutes before Norway registered their first shot of the period and were outshot 14-2 when it was all said and done.

Canada regroups after a first period where Norway dominated physically and had Canada playing their style of hockey. The teams were even at 0-0 after 20 minutes and the shots on goal were nearly even for both clubs (9-8 for Canada).

    60:00
    Game over.

    59:15
Canada excellent on the penalty kill today, giving Norway no chance to setup with the extra attacker.

    58:21
Bergeron goes to the box for a trip on the faceoff. Norway calls a timeout to organize a goal opportunity here on the power play/

    58:00
Norway pushing hard for another goal here, leading to an offsides penalty. They will need a quick one if they are serious about tying the score.

    56:00
Canada tying up Norway in the neutral zone, but not advancing aggressively to score. both teams seems settled on the current score.

    54:17
Both teams are at full strength after some short 4-on-4 action.

    54:01
Both teams are at even strength, but playing four-on-four with the offsetting Kunitz-Boksansen minors.

    52:17
Kunitz in the box for slashing and Bonsaksen tries to rip his head off in retribution. The minor penalties off set and we have some 4 on 3 hockey.

    51:01
Canada maintaining possession in the zone, but not generating any shots. 1:00 to go in the power play.

    51:02
Forsberg in the box for Norway after interfering with Corey Perry. Canada has a chance to extend their lead.

    49:30
Haugen has saved 27 of 30, which is a pretty decent statistic, but Norway would not be in this game if he was not playing much better than that stat shows.

    48:00
Pietrangelo has had some opportunities this game, but he cannot beat Haugen. Canada still dominant, though not adding to their lead.

Doughty (1G, 1A) and Bergeron (2A) both with two points for Canada.

    46:00
Norway is back to finding it difficult to generate any offense on this tough Canadian defense.
