    Hello every one! August 21st its Day One of the Champions Hockey League season and the Frölunda Indians from Gothenburg (Sweden) are coming to Geneva Switzerland. They will meet the local team: Genève Servette Hockey Club, also known as the Eagles.
     
    What will happen in this game? The Eagles are a quite "new" team, as some key players left at the end of last season, such as Matthew Lombardi and Kaspars Daugaviņš. But new imports have joined the team, such as Paul Ranger, the Pyatt brothers and Matt D'Agostini. After a few pre-season games, they are ready to start playing for real.
     
    The Frölunda Indians have a 100% Nordic team, with several players who are famous international players, such as the captain Joel Lundqvist. Frölunda prides itself with developing players through its youth academy and they are the European club which has the most players drafted and signed by NHL clubs. The most famous are Henrik Lundqvist, Erik Karlsson, Daniel Alfredsson, Per-Johan Axelsson, Loui Eriksson, Alexander Steen, Lars Eller, Mikkel Bödker and Viktor Stålberg.

    Geneva uses the strength of its player and obtains of course many penalties. But while losing two players at the same time could destroy one team's spirit, Geneva gets angry and react! That way Jonathan Mercier was able to score the 3rd goal, unassisted.
     
    The second goal, by Roland gerber, assisted by Dario Trutmann, was also a reaction after strong attacks by Frölunda.
     
    But Geneva must pay attention: they will again start the next period short-handed: 28 more seconds before Kevin Romy can join the ice again.
     
    Geneva must try to keep cooler. But will they, as their energy seems to be productive... Frölunda will surely come back with even more effort than during the second period.

The color is called "grenat" in French, which is a purplish type of red. The fans are famous in the Swiss National Leagues for their song and their energy. Their help is strong today for their favorite team.
