Power play goal scored by Stockholm and the Swedes take the lead. SEBASTIAN LAURITZEN fired Kasik from the right face off circle, the goaltender probably couldn't see well as there were many players in front of him. Assist: Mikael Samuelsson.

The Swedes started the Champions Hockey League at home against Fribourg-Gottéron. They were losing already 1:3 after forty minutes, but they came back and the match went into overtime. Mikael Samuelsson, the top star of Djurgården, finally scored the game winning goal. First victory and two points, that is a satisfying start for the Swedes and they will surely do as much as they can to get some more points here in Zlín in the afternoon.
The first performance of Zlín in the Champions Hockey League took place in Germany against Eisbären Berlin. Although the Czechs lost their lead twice during the match and the suspenseful game went into shoot-out, Zlín won and with two points they are second in group D, right behind Stockholm. Forward Bedřich Köhler finished it all in the eighth series. Petr Čajánek, the captain of the home team, missed the match in Berlin, but should play today.
